Once again Dean Holland knocked it out of the park in the second part of the Marketing Academy course with social slaughter. He kept it clear cut and concise on using social networking to market, not sell and the correct way to use social media.
All in all it’s basically don’t be a douchebag and try to sell to your friends. Dean quoted his mentor Alex Jeffreys and said “If you’re chasing money, you will always chase money” which all boils down to don’t be a paper chaser but position yourself and give value.

So I’m getting a late start on the first part of the BBB Formula in module 1. BBB is the basic building blocks which is putting the foundation down on my business.
I couldn’t see it live when he first launched it so waited for the recorded videos and when I seen what they were as I had my blog up & running already I didn’t watch them. Well as a week went by I seen all my fellow students in the coaching on the Marketing Academy Forum getting shit done! Seriously they’re a great group of people who are super helpful and I’m glad they’re on this journey with me.

Greed while being a huge motivator for human behavior but also considered one of the “7 deadly sins”.
I have a pretty slack moral compass and am tolerant of what others do but I happen to also care about people so basically if whatever you’re doing isn’t hurting someone else I have no problem with it. I’ve finally come to realize one of the things that truly held me back for 31 years from acquiring large amounts of cash ($10K a month+++) was that I always had that moral of greed being a sin in the back of my mind.

This is clarity and purpose and the time old ‘life will pay any price you ask of it’ all rolled into one. I like Tony as he connects to people of all walks of like on a significant level. Often we hear this stuff but repetition is the mother of all understanding. His analogy idea is great between the homeless dude and him.
Yes it does make my mind tingle a bit as he tells the story of the homeless dude and how much of a ‘mark’ he made himself look like LOL.

Your inboxes have probably been flooded with this but in case it hasn’t you can go check it out. It’s a free 46 minute video on how to get into your prospects minds and the different mindsets they have while reading blogs, emails and searching for product reviews online. I seen the first few minutes so far but Frank is one of the best at it so I’m sure it’s great.

I realize this has been happening in different areas of my life recently. It’s a funny thing being humans and how our psychology is hard wired. We are always searching for something or want something. Everybody wants something. It may be a thought, concept, idea, physical thing and sometimes ourselves or our own identity.
When it all comes down to it we often get disappointed that that “thing” we were searching for appears and we realize we had it all along from the beginning. Ever lose your car keys and find them in your jacket pocket… that you WERE wearing? Well it’s kind of something similar to that effect.
In my search to be successful at internet marketing and make it my BUSINESS I have recently went back to the basics and came back to 2 guys approaches which I really like.

As I signed out of my ezine account I saw this little link to a resource box article. We all know how vital the ad copy and info is in your resource box but Christopher breaks it down into almost an art. Definitely some good pointers here and well, the dude works for Ezine so I think he would have an idea of what he’s doing.
Article is a few years old but still relevant today.

I read a while back about a strategy that Jerry Seinfeld used to be more productive and succeed at comedy. It’s actually pretty basic but I like the psychology behind it. Ready to hear it?

Over the last few months my life has become eye opening and the plunge into internet marketing has had my eyes wide open. There’s like a whirlwind of ideas swirling through my head all the time and I’m constantly learning things about myself as well as the world around me.
Dane Cook for example was never funny to me. Now I may have been biased from the first time I heard his comedy. Me and my buddy Jay got a ride home from the bar one night from this swinger couple (If you’re wondering, no we didn’t, get your mind out of the gutter LOL). They turn on the radio and it’s a comedy cd. I used to listen to Martin Lawrence and Adam Sandler cd’s in my room back in the day when friends were over but just never listened to them in the car.
